It's getting to be that time...

As we get ready for the new bowling season:

- Besides Bowlympics, think about joining a scholarship league.
(Monday nights 6:30 at Babylon is good one, and only costs $15, $9 of which goes into the scholarship fund. And every kid gets scholarship money.)

- Get your bowling balls checked. Grips wear, and the span of your hand may have changed. Think about having your pro shop professionally clean/resurface your bowling ball.

- Maybe it's time for a new ball, or maybe add a ball that will react differently for different lane conditions. One good way to find a new ball is to go to a "demo day", which let's you "try before you buy". Check with your pro shop to see if they will be sponsoring  one. Here is an example of an upcoming local "demo day"

This demo day is for Storm bowling balls. There will also be one for the Ebonite line (Ebonite, Columbia, Hammer and Track) on November 3rd.

- For the younger/newer bowlers, I will soon have Ebonite Cyclone balls for you to try for free. This is a great reactive starter/secondary ball, complete with a weight block in lower weighted balls. I personally use one, and find it terrific on a typical house shot.
