Saturdays Match...

Because of the weather related devastation suffered by some, and because of the difficulty getting gasoline, we have decided to postpone our match this Saturday at AMF Shirley Lanes. We will let you know when a new date has been chosen.

Let's hope we all get through this as best as we can.

Our match has been moved to January 12th.
Our new snow day is January 19th.

Bay Shore Match

 

Our next match is Saturday, October 27th. We are scheduled to bowl at home against Bay Shore, but they are now not set to join until the 2nd half. We will therefore be bowling "blind", which means we have to bowl within ten points of our individual averages, and fifty of our team averages.

1st Match Of The Season

Our first match is Saturday, October 6th.

We are home against AMF Smithtown Bowl.

The Season Is Upon Us!

                      Time to think about your equipment!


-Make sure you take your bowling ball in to have it cleaned and inspected.
-Have the inserts checked for wear, and make sure your span hasn't changed.
-Think about getting a spare ball, if you don't already have one.
-If you are planning to buy another ball, get one that will compliment what you already have, this will give you more options on different lane conditions.

-Pro shops sometimes have a "demo day", where you can try different bowling balls before you buy. I find them to be a great opportunity, and they usually have special rates at that time.

Friday Night Scholarship League

Attention youth bowlers!

 

The best scholarship league around starts this Friday night!

 

Here are the details:

-Two person teams

-The cost is $15 per week ($7 goes towards scholarship prizes)

-An additional $1500.00 will be added to the prize fund

-This league pays your sanction fees!

-You will get a league discount card (20% off at the snack bar) and discounted open bowling

 

 

 

I cannot recommend this league enough, so come on down!
